영축산 산림복합체험센터

_치유의 풍경, 경험의 집합

구릉의 골에 자리한 대지는 남북측으로 길고 완만하며, 산자락이 살짝 감싸 안는 형상을 가진 온화한 땅이다. 오래된 저층 주거지와 새로 개발된 고층 공동주택군이 밀집한 지역으로, 고지대이기는 하나 도심 한복판에서 누릴 수 있는 천혜의 자연환경이기도 하다.

키즈카페, 북카페, 정원치유센터라는 세 개의 프로그램은 이용자, 프라이버시의 정도 등이 크게 다른 시설로 각각의 독립성이 필요하나, 유지·관리의 용이성 또한 동시에 고려되어야 했다.

사용자, 접근의 편의성, 위요된 공간환경의 필요 등을 고려하여 세 개의 시설을 키즈카페-북카페-치유센터의 순으로 순차적으로 배치하고, 매개공간 역할을 하는 북카페와 치유센터의 공용공간을 땅 아래에서 엮어 주었다. 각 시설은 고유한 마당을 가지며 외부로 확장되고, 마당을 잇는 길이 공간의 깊이를 만들며 도시와 산을 연결한다.

개별 집들은 네 개의 마당과 여섯 개의 정원으로 활짝 열려 확장·통합되고, 외부 자연환경을 내부 깊숙이 끌어들인다. 외부공간은 장소성을 내재한 또 하나의 집이고, 내부공간은 외부의 특질을 지닌 정원이다.

기존 대지에 있는 수목 중 수형이 아름다운 나무를 선별해 각 공간의 주요 위치에 이식하였다. 땅의 기억을 이어가는 행위이자, 새로이 탄생하는 장소를 어루만지는 치유의 태도이다.

밤과 낮을 쉬지 않고 운항하는 어머니 대지에게 고마움을 전합니다. 

다른 별에는 없는 온갖 거름을 지닌 부드러운 흙에게 고마움을 전합니다. 

우리 마음도 그렇게 되게 하소서.

해를 향하고 서서 빛을 변화시키는 잎사귀들과, 

머리카락처럼 섬세한 뿌리를 지닌 식물에게 고마움을 전합니다. 

그들은 비바람 속에 묵묵히 서서 작은 열매들을 매달고 물결처럼 춤을 춥니다. 

우리 마음도 그렇게 되게 하소서. 

하늘을 쏘는 칼새와 새벽의 말 없는 올빼미의 날개를 지탱해 주는 공기에게 고마움을 전합니다. 그리고 우리 노래의 호흡이 되어 주고 맑은 정신을 가져다주는 바람에게, 

우리 마음도 그렇게 되게 하소서.

The land located in the valley of the hill is long on the north-south side and it is a gentle land with a shape that slightly surrounds the foot of the mountain. It is an area where old low-rise dwellings and newly developed high-rise apartment are concentrated, and although it is high, it is also a natural environment that can be enjoyed in the middle of the city.

The three programs, Kids Cafe, Book Cafe, and Garden Healing Center, require independence as facilities with significantly different users and degrees of privacy, but the ease of maintenance and management should also be considered at the same time.

The three facilities were arranged sequentially in the order of Kids Cafe, Book Cafe, and Healing Center in consideration of the user, the convenience of access, and the need of enclosed environment, and the common spaces of Book Cafe and Healing Center were shared under the ground. Each facility has its own yard and expands to the outside and the path that connects the yard creates a depth of space and links the city and the mountain.

Individual builidngs are wide open into four yards and six gardens, expanding and integrating, and bring the external natural environment deep inside. The outer space is another house with placeness and the inner space is a garden with external characteristics.

Among the trees on the existing site, plants with beautiful shapes were transplanted to the main location of each space. It is an act of continuing the memory of the land and an attitude of touching and caring a new place.
